If you want to do some reading to get ready for class tonight, check out the following stuff:
John 6: 12--15; Matthew 14: 13--23; & Mark 6: 45--47. Especially pay attention to the Matthew 14 account as you'll want to get a sense of background that will definitely add to the reality. Note in each case what Jesus was doing and try to put it in context of his day on THAT particular day.
Read Psalm 19. Try to figure out the two ways God reveals Himself to us.
And finally, read Psalm 46. What are the themes? Why do you think there are three "selah's" (read your Bible's study notes...those will definitely help).
