Getting Ready for Class Tonight
In order to get ready for class tonight, you'll want to read through the book of John and find the 7 statements Jesus uses that begin with "I am..."
You'll want to read John 6, beginning in verse 13 and going through the end of the chapter.
You'll want to read John 8.
There's two in John 10.
Another in John 11.
One in John 14.
And, lastly, one in John 15.
Just scan around a bit and find them...maybe get the context of the passage, too, to figure out why Jesus was using these terms to describe Himself.
And you might want to think about each one of these metaphors and how they might describe what Jesus means to us, individually, in 2006...
...and, we'll be using a scene from Disney's "Aladdin" to get our brains engaged, too!
